Despite clear warnings from multiple government bodies, and with the number of COVID-19 cases spiking, many Chicagoans were still not taking the threat seriously. So, we called on our beloved teams from every sport to make a compelling statement: We Are Not Playing.

Campaign Launch Press Conference
We went to the top and had Mayor Lori Lightfoot deliver the message alongside some of Chicago's favorite athletes from an empty Soldier Field, which was covered by local and national media.

Mayor Lightfoot called on teams and their star athletes to help share the unified message with thousands of followers on social.

The Mayor and teams took their We Are Not Playing message to the streets and highways around Chicagoland.
Wave 2 Social - Home Team Jerseys
To continue the We Are Not Playing initiative, Mayor Lightfoot challenged Chicagoans to show support for their home teams by hanging their favorite jersey or gear in their windows. Teams and fans accepted the challenge.
